Adverbs used : Yesterdey, last night, last week, two days ago, a few minutes ago, last weekend, last month, last years, etc.

The formula of Simple Past Tense in Verbal :

(+) S + V₂ + O

(-) S + did not + V₁ + O

(?) Did + S + V₁ + O ?

Example :

(+) We did our task group.

(-) We didn’t do our task group.

(?) Did we do our task group?

The formula of Simple Past Tense in nonverbal :

(+) S + to be (was / were) + Complement

(-) S + to be (was / were) + not + Complement

(?) To be (was / were) + S + Complement

Example   :

(+) We were at Kampung Lauk.

(-) We were not at Kampung Lauk.

(?) Were we at Kampung Lauk ?
